In my many years as a Sisterlocks™ Consultant, I have found that no two individuals' locs are the same.  Your Sisterlocks™ will take on a persona of their own, unique to every one of us.  When a guest tells me "I want my locs to look like yours", I tell them "That's the beauty of Sisterlocks™, your locs will be unique to you, because they are a part of you."  With that, the excitement grows.
I took the Sisterlocks™ Training Course after having received many compliments and questions regarding my hair.  I thought, "There is no better way to provide knowledgeable and concise information for such a phenomenal healthy hair system."  In 2014, I became a Certified Sisterlocks™ Consultant.

In 2000, Allan Van Johnson began studying natural hair styling under the tutelage of Ona Osirio-Maat, Malaika Cooper, and the originator of Sisterlocks®, Dr. JoAnne Cornwell. After receiving certifications in the locking of hair, he became a licensed cosmetologist in 2009, merging his painting background with hair coloring. He has studied the theories and techniques of industry icons Beth Minardi, Michael Canale, Tracey Cunningham, and as a Pravana® Certified Master Hair Colorist, he is skilled in haircolor formulations, applications, Balayage highlighting, gray blending and coverage, and color correction.  Mr. Allan is excited to offer exemplary customer service at More Hair Studio and Spa!

Meka is a Natural Hair Care Specialist with over 15 years of experience in Loc maintenance, Loc cultivation, and Loc styling. Specializing in servicing children and seniors, also offering double strand, flat twist, and rod set services. Meka started her career studying under " The Loc Mama" Maliaka Tamu Cooper at the original Dreadz and Heads and has had the privilege to offer celebrity service to stars such as Rickey Smiley. Meka feels privileged working with the amazing team at More Hair Salon.

I am Yohanna El Bey. My life with hair has been a journey with growth and bonding. On my journey, I came to the realization that, though it may be a skill for money-making, it's also a place of healing for my clients.
